Education 450: Instruction II Standards and Assessment
As a teacher in training in the midst of a pandemic, I must say taking this course has been an experience of adversity, resilience, and adaptability. I have seen the teachers in vulnerable, stressful times, and I am thankful to say, I have been able to step into the chaos and help. I have learned how to not only write a lesson plan, but also adapt it for an online lesson and a hybrid lesson.
Overall, this course is based on the National Teacher Standards and the Colorado State Department of Education Performance-based Teacher Education Standards, the Colorado Commission on Higher Education Performance Indicators, the INTASC (Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium) standards, and the NCATE (National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education) standards, the State’s Performance-based Teacher Education standards and the standard elements contained within, while also encompassing other state and national standards and beliefs.
