Standard Three:
Plans and delivers effective instruction and creates an environment that facilitates learning for students
Artifact One: This first artifact has my classroom expectations, the Visual Art Colorado Standards, supplies needed, how grading will work, tardy's, absences, and extra credit. By giving my students clear expectations and instructions, I am providing them an environment of safety and security, giving the students the tools and guidelines necessary to succeed. When they know what's expected of them, they can achieve greatly.
Artifact Two: I've chosen this artifact to represent Standard Three (as well as Standard Four), simply because it shows that after I assess my students, I take the knowledge I have found to see how much understanding is actually occurring. This is so important, because not only does it give me clear insight on how successful my teaching is, but it also helps me clearly see who it succeeding and who might need extra help. By analyzing the knowledge of my students, I am doing everything in my power to facilitate effective learning!
